Part of the
As a campaign we contacted local MPs and Government Ministers. We received coverage in the local and national press and on television and radio. We met with activists from other campaigns around the country to discuss our joint aims.
We will continue to forge links with the Forestry Commission and the other groups who look after the Chase. We hope that any future proposals from the Government are only to the benefit of our forest.
We have made a formal submission to the Independent Panel on Forestry's Call for Views. We hope they take note.
We've reproduced below replies from two of our local MPs to letters from constituents for information.
Please keep looking it to see how we can develop our campaign.
Over 7,000 people signed our petition, both on online and on paper.
Along with the more than 500,000 who signed up to the national campaign we believe this level of public concern helped to change the Government's mind.
We plan to leave the links below on line so you can see what we got up to.
We will keep the petitions in case any government tries something similar again.

More than 30 people joined us for a walk on the Chase to celebrate the Government withdrawing their consultation document. Thanks to everyone who gave up their time to help organise the event.
